As part of our pledge to do the right thing on and off the roof, The Red Shirt Guys have supported Homes for Our Troops, a nonprofit organization that builds mortgage free, specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans and their families. In 2016, a portion of every new roof was donated to the Homes for our Troops program. In February 2017, we wrote our first check to Homes for Our Troops for $5,000.

The Red Shirt Guys are proud to partner with Transitions Homeless Center, an exceptional organization that serves the homeless of Columbia. They do outstanding work for our community, and we’re happy to support them however we can, through service or financial aid. Columbia is our home. We work here, we live here, and we’re committed to helping our neighbors in need.

Every year, a different Red Shirt Guy chooses a charity they would like to donate to on the company’s behalf. In 2018, Annie chose Prisma Health (formerly Palmetto Health) Children’s Hospital here in Columbia. Of her choice, she says “To me, nothing is more precious than a child and nothing more heartbreaking than one who is hurting. I couldn’t think of anything more important than helping a little one get well.”
